USTR Extends Tariff Exclusions for Certain COVID-19 Products through September
- March 8, 2021
The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) announced that it will extend certain Section 301 tariff exclusions on products used to treat COVID-19; these exclusions were previously set to expire on March 31, 2021.
The extended exclusions will apply to all products meeting the specified criteria until September 30, 2021.

All importers who have an eligible product are able to claim an exemption under the exclusions, regardless of whether the importer filed an exclusion request. It is possible the USTR will continue to issue decisions on pending exclusion requests on a periodic basis.
As always, we encourage you to contact our compliance experts with any questions or for assistance with the exclusion process.
