Typhoon Usagi Hits Southeastern AsiaTyphoon Usagi Hits Southeastern Asia
- November 26, 2018
Typhoon Usagi, which is arriving on the heels of devastating Tropical Storm Toraji, brought record breaking rain and flooding to southern Vietnamese cities this weekend and powerfully struck the port cities of Ho Chi Minh and Vung Tau.
Transportation services and port operations in the region remain halted as a result of continued high winds and rain. We are diligently tracking all potentially affected shipments and will inform customers of any delays as quickly as possible.
At this time, Usagi is on a northwestern trajectory and has dissipated to a tropical depression. If its current path remains unaltered, Usagi will likely disrupt transportation services and port operations in Cambodia and Thailand in the coming days.
Shapiro will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
