The 18th summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is taking place in Qingdao on June 9th-10th . To ensure a successful summit, safety procedures are being put into place well in advance, causing closures and inconveniences to customers and shipments.
From May 30th to either June 11th or 13th, the Chinese Government is conducting temporary traffic control measures that will cause the prohibition of trucking around Qingdao. During this period, dangerous chemical transportation vehicles are banned, and transportation vehicles, motorcycles, minibuses, and special operating vehicles are prohibited from June 6th-11th. Many airlines have cancelled flights out of Qingdao and more are expected to.
Due to the many closures, M+R Qingdao office will be closed June 7th-9th.
