Labor Strikes Against Canadian National RailroadLabor Strikes Against Canadian National Railroad
- November 20, 2019
Effective Tuesday, November 19th at 12:10 AM, approximately 3,200 unionized conductors and railyard workers from Teamsters Canada Rail Conference (TCRC) organized an official labor strike against Canadian National (CN).
Although reports indicate that representatives from both Teamsters and CN have already sat down with federal mediators in an effort to create a deal to replace the previous contract that expired in July, officials have advised CN customers to expect service disruptions and delays in the coming days as a result of the strike.
Shapiro will continue to monitor the situation and provide status updates as they become available.
