Labor Protest at New York & New Jersey TerminalsLabor Protest at New York & New Jersey Terminals
- January 29, 2016
As of 10:53 this morning, longshoremen walked off the job at New York and New Jersey Ports due to an ongoing labor dispute. As a result, port officials are not allowing any new trucks to enter the New York and New Jersey ports. The Port Authority is doing everything in its power to resume port operations, but it is unknown how long this situation will last. More answers should be provided as the International Longshoreman’s Association reopens its offices on Monday.
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.
