Effective September 3rd, the CBP has announced enhanced Air Cargo Advanced Screening (ACAS) security filing requirements on air shipments from other countries arriving to, or transiting through, the U.S. The new guidelines have been published in an attempt to better identify the parties involved in the air cargo supply chain prior to cargo being loaded on board a U.S. bound aircraft.

The filing will now typically require the following data elements:

Contact information:

  1. Shipper e-mail address
  2. Shipper phone number
  3. Consignee e-mail address
  4. Consignee phone number

Shipper account information:

  1. Shipper Account Name
  2. Shipper Account Issuer
  3. Shipper Account Number
  4. Shipper Account E-mail
  5. Shipper Account Phone Number
  6. Shipper Account Type
  7. Verified Known Consignor
  8. Shipper Account Establishment
  9. Shipper Account Billing Type

Other information:

  1. IP Address of device when the Shipper Account was created
  2. IP Address of the device used to file the ACAS
  3. Biographic data to include proof of identity/government issued document number, document country, and date of birth
