Update on Hurricane Florence and Closing of Charleston OfficeUpdate on Hurricane Florence and Closing of Charleston Office
- September 11, 2018
Hurricane Florence is approaching! Out of concern for our team and in compliance with local instructions, the Shapiro’s Charleston office closed at 10 AM today, Tuesday, September 11th.
Our Charleston employees are working remotely to address all emails, but responses may be delayed. If you need immediate assistance, please contact our Charleston Branch Manager, Chris Carlton, at [email protected].
Hurricane Florence is set to make landfall along the Southeastern coast of the U.S. late Thursday afternoon. She is projected to maintain her status as a Category 4 hurricane and is likely to be the largest storm to hit the East Coast in 25 years, bringing extreme winds, heavy rains and extended power outages. As a result, it is likely that cargo moving through the Southeastern and/or Mid-Atlantic regions of the U.S. over the next week, whether by truck, rail, air or ocean, will experience significant delays.
Shapiro will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
