With the ACE February 28th deadline looming, many filers are reporting various technical problems involving FDA processing that are resulting in extreme issues across the board.

To outline some examples:

  • Messages are not returning to the filer’s software at all. The FDA Review is received, but there is no follow up message
  • Rejected FDA entries are not allowing corrections, as they should, for unknown reasons
  • CBP officers are receiving an error message for FDA entries and are unable to process them
  • The local CBP offices are then instructing the filer to cancel the entry and re-file in ACS

Some of these issues require manual intervention by both Customs and the broker.

All parties recognize that this situation is not sustainable.
