Technical Problems with FDA Processing Through ACETechnical Problems with FDA Processing Through ACE
- February 4, 2016
With the ACE February 28th deadline looming, many filers are reporting various technical problems involving FDA processing that are resulting in extreme issues across the board.
To outline some examples:
- Messages are not returning to the filer’s software at all. The FDA Review is received, but there is no follow up message
- Rejected FDA entries are not allowing corrections, as they should, for unknown reasons
- CBP officers are receiving an error message for FDA entries and are unable to process them
- The local CBP offices are then instructing the filer to cancel the entry and re-file in ACS
Some of these issues require manual intervention by both Customs and the broker.
All parties recognize that this situation is not sustainable.
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.
